Big Up Brass was a project led by Waltham Forest Music Service in 2022-23 to support primary school pupils to continue to learn brass instruments. Watch this short film about Big Up Brass to share in the fun and excitement of playing these instruments!
We partnered with Oompah Brass to deliver weekly practice sessions and two concerts over the course of the year, culminating in a joint performance at Leyton Town Hall.
Big Up Brass was a continuation of our work delivering whole class ensemble tuition (WCET) in Primary Schools across the borough. The students involved picked up an instrument for the first time in year 4 and have made amazing progress!
